Fox’s new singing competition The Four is coming to TV in 2018, but not without some help from Writing Sessions America.
Auditions are scheduled throughout the rest of the year in Atlanta, Nashville, Austin and other major entertainment epicenters around the country. In the premiere episode, four finalists are selected from among those who auditioned. New contestants then challenge the finalists each week to steal one of the four slots. The winner is named in the season finale. The four singers who have secured their spots for the finale will face off against each other, resulting in one being named the season winner.
Like American Idol, TV viewers will get to make decisions about the contestants. They will not choose the winners, or who stays, however. Viewers will only decide who comes on the show each week by voting on the streamed auditions online. So, they get to determine the challengers, or who goes on the show and will take on ‘The Four’.
The Four was created by Armoza Formats and is produced by ITV Entertainment in association with Armoza Formats.
